Abstract

A teacher tells me that although she sees the value of the program and enhoys the materials, she is becoming distressed. Her students, she says, groan and complain when it's time to do philosophy. Normally restrained, the students giggle and talk among themselves during the discussion. She is frustrated to the point of dreading the time allotted to philosophy.
