Abstract

This article from the "Biography of Mao Zedong " in writing about, the road of new China, Mao Zedong had in-depth exploration of thinking, that Mao was mainly to do after the founding of three things: First, the modernization drive; second China's diplomatic seek great power status; third is to consolidate the party's long-ruling position. For the success or failure of these three things should be restored to the appropriate historical background to the study in order to draw the appropriate conclusions. After a brief discussion about the writing of the biography of Mao Zedong , this paper tried to reflect on Mao Zedong's exploration of China's road after 1949, and came to the conclusion that Mao Zedong primarily focused on three enterprises after 1949. The first was to pursue China's modernization; the second was to promote the great-power status of China in international affairs; and the third was to reinforce the ruling role of the Party. And if only these enterprises were evaluated with the consideration of their historical background, can we draw an appropriate conclusion
