Explicación teorética y compromisos ontológicos: un modelo estructuralista

Abstract

We try to present some formal models of explanation, with no universal validity but with a wide range of applications. It will be done with a particular kind of explicandum, to be called “theoretical explanation with ontological commitments”, which has a putative signifi cance in many sections of the natural sciences, mainly in physics, and in those disciplines that have been mathematized in a systematic way
