Analysis of the effect of demographic dividend on economic growth in gorontalo province

Abstract

This study purpose to determine the impact of the demographic dividend on economic growth. The data used is secondary data in the form of data from 5 districts and Gorontalo City in the 2010-2019 period. Data source BPS Gorontalo Province. Data analysis is multiple linear regression using panel data. The results of the analysis show that the ratio dependency variable has a significant positive effect on economic growth. Population growth variable has a negative and significant effect on economic growth. Meanwhile, the labor force participation rate does not affect economic growth. Judging from the simultaneous test, Demographic dividend have a simultaneous effect on economic growth.
