Abstract

East-West issue, because the contemporary Neo-Confucianism adopted a rationalist approach, making it not only is not cultural conservatism, and not caught between tradition and modernity twist. Contemporary Neo-Confucianism in the "How to implement in modern China, but also to avoid the drawbacks of modern Western" consciousness of the problem, both show a strong modernity, but also has obvious post-modern character. Contemporary Neo-Confucianism as the unequal positioning of Chinese and Western cultures, to some extent increased between modern and post modern theory of conflict. But this conflict is not insurmountable, because in the contemporary neo-Confucianism who have an excellent quality of post-modern, rationalist culture attitude that, and this constructive post-modernism and showed great consistency. Contemporary Neo-Confucianism to continue as long as an open, pluralistic, rational approach to examine the culture of modern and post-modern problem, it can be as constructive as post-modernism, modernity and post-modern unity. The Contemporary Neo-Confucianism is not conservative in matters of culture, and did not land itself in a predicament between tradition and modern, because of his rational manner in dealing with the question of relationship of Chinese culture and western culture. Contemporary Neo-Confucianism ' problem is why realize modernization and refrain from the malady of the modernization, and shows strong modernity and post-modernity in this problem. The clash of between modernization and post-modernization was strengthened because it was not fair that Contemporary Neo-Confucianism treated the Chinese culture and the western culture.
