Hu Hong, Zhang Jiucheng and Yu Yunwen Counterattacked the Trends of Thought in that Criticized Mencius in the Song Dynasty

Abstract

Mencius in the Song Dynasty massive upgrading of the movement, there are some non-Meng, who became critics of Mencius Mencius upgraded movement discord. To HU, Zhang Jiucheng, Yu Yunwen represented by non-Meng Song scholars who were directly hit back. They fight back not only for the elimination of people's concerns and consolidation of Mencius Mencius's historical status has a positive effect, but also the maintenance and development of the emerging science of the position from which to grasp the pulse of their own ideas and academic development of a variety of Song the path. There were some scholars who criticized Mencius in the Mencius status promotion in the Song Dynasty. Hu Hong, Zhang Jiucheng and Yu Yunwen counterattacked them in the name of the Song Dynasty scholars who venerated Mencius. Their response not only had dispeled the doubts of Mencius and consolidated the historical status of Mencius, but also safeguard status of Neo-Confucianism that was rising and developing. We also can grasp the pulse of their own thinking and various academic ways and means of the Song Dynasty
