Abstract

A review of the critical edition of the IV volume of Croce’s “Filosofia come scienza dello spirito”, edited by Edoardo Massimilla and Teodoro Tagliaferri as a part of National Edition of Croce’s Works and with an introductory note by Fulvio Tessitore, which is largely commented upon. The author underlines how the critical edition enables the reader to follow the subsequent strata of composition of Teoria e storia della storiografia, reconstructing also the dense web of often anomymous quotations and references
