Early Qing Literati's Study of Wang Yang-ming

Abstract

Ming and Qing dynasties, Wang Although a spent force, but the science camp, the "respect for Zhu," or "worship the king" is still the school shares back to the altar two different academic ideas. This places the early Qing literati poetry dedicated to the perspective, a detailed discussion of their understanding of and comment on Wang. This paper argues that Wang Shiqi, Run Zhang Shi, Zhu Yi-zun, Song Luo and so on "respect for virtue" and "Road asked the study" identified that not only shows their purport and maintenance Wang academic tradition, but also criticized the early Qing Wang of the academic "Zen" of a response. Song Confucian criticism of their innate "easy" to learn the nature of non-Confucianism, the orthodox contention for the Wang, Wang is actually reaffirmed the basic purpose of Confucianism. They must even Taizhou Wang Wang the real value of poetry to bring their new content, and lost their lives, loss of self-interest means that their thoughts and feelings close to Wang. It shows the development trend of academic thought, Qing, Wang also reflects the basic spirit of the early Qing Dynasty. The study of Wang Yangming's philosophy was already in decline by the ascent of the Qing Dynasty. The study of "Li" however remained a bastion for "respecting Zhu" and "honoring Wang". This article closely examines the literati or the early Qing Dynasty is understanding and criticism of Wang Yang-ming. Scholars such as Wang Tu-zhen, Shr Run-zhang, Zhu Yi-zhun and Sung Rong employed the notion of zhun de xing "and" dao wen xue "in not only preserving Wang Yang -ming 's philosophy, but also responding to the threat from the Zen schools of the time. In rejecting Sung Confucianism's notion of as a priori and thus unorthodox Confucianism, they strove to establish Wang Yang-ming's philosophy as the basis for further Confucianism. Their life pursuits were of a practical bent, solidifying their thought with that of the school of Wang Yang-ming. In this way, they showed their particular affinity with early-Qing Wang Yang-ming studies
