A Comparative Study On The Characteristics Of Sino-american Official Languages
Abstract
Official language of China and the U.S. reflect different cultural characteristics, roles and national mindset, such as China's way of thinking more of a history of associative thinking, and America's way of thinking is more abstract theoretical concepts. U.S. human rights official language in the expression reflects on the history of the United States, "U.S. beyond theory" is "American Dream" abstract idealism in foreign policy thinking on the extension, but also the United States as a "world leader" reflects the role of the State . And China's views on human rights issues, reflecting the traditional Chinese view of history against foreign invasion, but also China as a responsible power in the Third World countries against the hegemonic role of embodiment. President Carter's famous speech, human rights diplomacy with China's human rights report of the two countries in the role of the state, habits and status of significant differences. There are many different characteristics of Sino-American official languages on the points of the Government positions and the thinking models that the Chinese always have a historical association way while the American often have a abstract theoretical way. The American formulations of human rights embody the ideals of historical "American Exception", the expansion of "American Dream" in diplomatic policies and the national role as "the Leader of the World". On the contrary, the Chinese views of human rights reflect the historical view of the Chinese defending the foreigners 'invasions and the position of China as a responsible great nation in the Third World against the hegemonism.
