Abstract

The article aims to investigate the border line which defines the difference between humans and animals from the beginning of the Western thought. A critical analysis of different forms and parts of this border line would help us to recognize the concepts of man and animal, alongside their application. These concepts are mainly a man’s product, and for this reason they have always stressed the distance between humans and animals without considering their close relationship. Nonetheless both affinity and difference are the central elements of this relationship and we can’t help taking them into consideration
