The Fairy Tale About the Burgomaster and the Old Tree

Abstract

There was an old tree growing on the slope just outside the town so that everybody could see it. This tree has to be felled. The Burgomaster of the town had decided so, and he was used to decisions. Now everybody in town talked about this--each citizen in his way.
