Abstract

I am grateful to Alessandra Diazzi and Pierpaolo Antonello for gathering and introducing a very welcome collection of interconnected essays and I welcome John Choo, Lyle Enright, Pierre Santoni, and Nathan Lefler for their first appearances in Contagion.I am especially happy about the conversation with Cesáreo Bandera and the snapshot which tells the truth of his friendship, that Girard was willing to share with him the most ambitious version of his hypothesis at the very beginning, and that Bandera was strong enough to stand with it.But mimesis conflictiva, The Sacred Game, The Humble Story of Don Quixote, and A Refuge of Lies tell us that there must be other snapshots of Professor Bandera where he appears as the...
