Public broadcasting as a tool to fight with manipulative and destructive informationpsychological influence in Ukraine

Abstract

The study tested the experience of the functioning of public broadcasters in Western and Central-Eastern Europe. In the article determined that in the above-mentioned states the public broadcasters differ in the legal status and the main sources of financing, however their common characteristics is that they are the most common source of information covering social issues, provide informational, cultural, educational and entertainment programs that contribute to the growth of social, political and cultural activity of citizens and the cohesion of society. The study founded that in recent times states and international organizations consider public TV and radio broadcasting organizations as one of means of countering enemy propaganda and fight against of destructive information and psychological influences.
