Abstract

Prenant comme point de départ la révélation qu'a constituée pour Goethe le voyage en Italie de 1786-1788, cet essai offre un panorama des domaines scientifiques qui ont occupé l'écrivain : depuis la description de la métamorphose des plantes et de la morphologie animale, jusqu'à la théorie des couleurs, la Farbenlehre, dans laquelle Goethe prépare la vision subjective de la peinture moderne.
