Abstract

O presente artigo reflete sobre a precariedade da vida sob a óptica filosófica deCamus, em sua obra O Mito de Sísifo, e sob a metáfora do absurdo de Saramago, emsua obra Todos os Nomes, protagonizada por gente comum, tendo, como destaques,em ambas, o problema do paradoxo do “Absurdo diante do Mistério” da existênciahumana e a sua tentativa de resolução por meio do conhecimento do “Suicídio”.ABSTRACTThe present article reflects on the precariousness of life from Camus’ andSaramago’s points of view. Camus’ philosophical thought on this matter isextracted from his work The Myth of Sisyphus. Saramago’s ideas, especiallythat of the metaphor of absurd, are found in his Todos os Nomes , which has common people as its characters. Both works deal with theparadox of the absurd regarding the mystery of human existence, and theattempts to solve it by means of knowledge of the suicide
