Abstract

This paper discusses the well-known educator Cai Yuanpei modern ideas in aesthetics characteristics and the significance of today. Chua is the core of aesthetic thought that the aesthetic essence of education thus an emotional education, with moral, intellectual, physical education plays in the same important position, because human development and social progress in the process, only the science, knowledge and rationality and progress of education is not complete, and the neglect of human emotional repression will bring a variety of social ills. Cai also be speaking with the proposed implementation measures of the aesthetic, is also worthy of attention today. The article discusses the modern famous educationist Cai Yuanpei's thought of aesthetic education and its present significance in this day and age. The core of his thought of aesthetic education is to hold the opinion that the essence of such education is a kind of emotional education, and occupies the equally important position with moral, intellectual, sports in education. Following with the development of human personality and society progress, it shows that only emphasizing scientific, knowledge and rational education is not enough, because neglecting and constraining the perception has been leading to various kinds of social drawbacks nowadays. Furthermore Cai Yuanpei has also taken some practical measures to show that such an aesthetic education has certain manipulatablity, which is worthy paying attention to today
