Theory of Individuality of Tang Chun-yi

Abstract

Tang Chun is undoubtedly the most important contemporary neo-Confucian philosophers, and "the existence of life and the spiritual realm" is his most mature masterpiece. In this book, Tang Chun will be divided into nine kinds of spiritual realm, in this paper intends to explore in this book about "human individuality" of issues, including: how to form the individual person, or that some of the ingredients contained individuality. I found that Tang Junyi complex system among a total of four different state can be distinguished with the "human individuality" occurred related to: special things scattered throughout; unto an environment of God; I Act II empty environment; days popular throughout Germany. In addition, from the "spiritual structure" can be found within another path. Therefore, this article comes down to a total of five different paths. I will be with the people on these state of the connected individual to do a very basic discussion, Tang Chun-term philosophy can make a special observation. Tang chun-yi is doubtless one of the most important philosophers in the contemporary Confucianism. His Life, Existence and the Horizons of Mind belongs to his most mature thought. In this writing Tang divides Mind into nine different horizons. The objective of this paper is to explore the problem of individuality of human being as such, including how individuality is formed, how does it constitute. In the complex structure of Tang's nine horizons we find four different layers in relation to individuality: horizon of all particulars ; horizon of returning monotheism ; horizon of vanity of I and law ; horizon of surrounding of heaven-virtue . Besides, inside the structure of Mind there is also another approach. In sum, there are five approaches altogether. Each horizon or approach will be basically researched in respect of individuality
