Abstract

Xun Xue and Kong Mengru science, Kong Mengzhe fundamental difference between their own learning. Specific performance: First, the ontological aspects of the universe, the Confucian idea of "Heaven," the letter destiny, "who play their hearts, knows his nature. Know of, you know Heaven." Xunzi advocated " Heaven-phase points, "" days are often, not Yao survival, not for jie dead, "one can" fate will use the system. " Second, in epistemology, Confucius, Mencius, the ablation of the subject and object boundaries, but expand that understanding the inner work of introspection, is not subject to the object of pursuit, the so-called "knowledge of the road without him, seeking his confidence just carry on." Xunzi Instead, explicitly recognized subject-object dichotomy, man as subject knowledge, understanding of the material as the object, said "Any person who knows, the person is also, one can know, the reason things are." Third, in human nature, the Confucian Jie good idea mortal side of human nature is good, to promote inward with the effort. Xunzi believes that life to the evil nature of humans are evil desire to promote pseudo-divided, from the pseudo-resistance, for the good man becomes evil. There is a basic difference between the Confucianism of Xun Zi and that of Confucius and Mencius. A very concrete example of this can be found in the theories of "Heaven". Confucius and Mencius believed that "Heaven and Man are in harmony", the believed in a mandate from heaven. "Exhaust yur mind to know your nature. Knowing your nature ledads to knowing heaven." Xun Zi on the other hand believed "Heaven has its fixed motions, it isn't affected by Yao's goodness nor Jie's wickedness . "From an epistemological angle, Confucius and Mencius harmonize the subject and object, considering knowledge to be an expansion of the inner self, not just the subject's pursuit of knowledge. This can be seen in the maxim" Study is not of the other, but is a pursuit of the self. "Xun Zi is just the opposite; he recognizes both a subject and an object. The person isthe subject of knowledge and beings the object of knowledge. Finally, on the subject of uman nature, confucius and Mencius believe that it is basically good, so they propose an internal refinement. Xun Zi, conversely, contends that human nature is intrinsically evil; he thusly proposes transforming human nature from the outside through education
