The Development of Applied Ethics and the Philosophical Thinking in the New Times

Abstract

This paper aims to explore the development of contemporary philosophy of applied ethics practitioners inspiration. Yinci, first outlined the rise of applied ethics, development and current status, followed by the study of this emerging discipline in contrast to the traditional philosophical differences, the final result highlights a new mode of philosophical attitude or thinking, and addresses the philosophy of workers and other inter-professional collaboration and cooperation. Contemporary challenges facing the Applied Ethics: the new consciousness of contemporary people of the old problems re-emerge; of the new situation and new problems; by the new emergence of the basic concepts new problems; the scope of the new concern the emergence of new problems: ethical thinking by the new emergence of new problems. New Age philosophy of the proposed ideas: philosophy should shift from domestic-based export-oriented academic academic; of philosophy should learn from other professionals, and promote the professional respect and cooperation between: the ideal and reality blending; the social value of diversity in the coordination mode; under the cultural differences in global and local concern. This paper suggests that the contemporary development of applied ethics could be a lesson for academic philosophers. Applied ethics has answered the following problems: old problems emerged in a new vision; new problems emerged in new surroundings; new problems combined with the change of fundamental ideas; new problems combined with the expanding circle of moral concern; new problems combined with the change of thought modes. And academic philosophers are suggested: to care more about the external world rather than the internal world; to learn more from other disciplines; to compromise between the ideal and the practical; to negotiate between different systems of value; to hold local concern without neglecting the globalization
