Abstract

This essay underlines some aporias rising from a radically immanentist interpretation of Spinoza’s thought. According to the author, Spinozian immanence cannot be understood as a levelling of the ontological differences of substance, attributes and modes, in which the Deus sive Natura internally articulates itself: it is better understood as an internal unfolding of the effects of substance. Therefore Spinoza’s system shows itself as a deductive system which, by means of ontological differences, retains the transcendence both of the substance over the attributes and of the attributes over the infinite and finite modes.
