In his central essays and the studies of Mahler, Schoenberg and Nono, Lachenmann reflects his own work and relevant musical aesthetic positions of our time on a high intellectual and linguistic level.Lachenmann's texts and conversations, which have been written since 1996, are to be summarized in a second volume.
