Abstract

In keeping with the tradition of honoring living great philosophers, Paul Levinson has added yet another anthology of new essays on the work of one of the greatest philosophers of this century, Sir Karl Raimund Popper. What is peculiar to the book under review is the editor’s deliberate selection of authors who are either the old students of Popper or his long associates. This makes the pattern of discussion in each essay highly predictable—a monotony of defense of Popper against his critics, and occasional appraisals of his influence on some of the authors’ philosophical viewpoints.
