Abstract

Abstract: I discuss in this article the Leibnizian conception of the mind, showing that perceptions and sensations can be understood as constituting a continuous series, but that apperceptions forcibly introduce a discontinuity into the system, which renders this conception incompatible with the principle of continuity, also assumed by Leibniz.
