Abstract

The way Ortega deals with Vico proves two facts literally: a) Ortega speaks little about Vico; b) he expresses a bad opinion about him. However, as regards the spirit, of the confluence of Ortega with Vico affects Ortega's inner thoughts. Then it is understood that, either he did not read Vico's works and therefore his criticism would be illegitimate, or in fact he did not admit his intellectual debt fowards Vico. Ortega's admission of Vico's ideas was semehowe unfair
