Abstract

Aussi bien la sensibilité végétarienne que l’enthousiasme que met Jean-Antoine Gleïzès (1773-1843) pour propager son « régime des herbes » se comprennent mieux une fois qu’est mise au jour la problématique au centre de l’évangile de la régénération sociale : justice et égalité. C’est à l’aune de cette problématique, que l’œuvre de Gleïzès connaîtra la postérité, en France et ailleurs.
