Transformation of the European Union Integration Paradigm within the Context of the Crisis

Abstract

The contemporary political processes in the European Union as in a supranational polity are systematically analyzed and the impact of the economic crisis on the European integration is evaluated. Also the phenomenon of polarization and the crisis of legitimacy at the national and supranational levels are described and the significance of these trends for the future development of the European Union is underlined. The author also analyzed the anticrisis measures and decisions taken by the EU authorities within the context of the transformation of the European integration paradigm.
