Celebrities in WEi-Jin Dynasties and the Musical Instrument Guqin

Abstract

Wei and Jin Dynasties, Qin Wei got celebrities of all ages, from "the Seven" to "Bamboo Forest" to the Jin Dynasty a large number of celebrities, or piano books for self-entertainment, or gin eliminate worry, or Ming Kum mountains to Qin friends, Shihlin good violin Aegean, has become common practice. A lot of evidence that the piano and piano music in the lives of the Wei, Jin celebrities who occupies a very important and special status, influence and embodies the spirit world and the personality of their demeanor, and eventually become a "Wei demeanor," "The Mandarins" in One of the features. The traditional Chinese musical instrument guqin won much favor with the celebrities in Wei and Jin dynasties. Numerous evidences and facts indicate that guqin and guqin music exerted great impact on these celebrities, shaping and reflecting their spirital world and personal style, and guqin thus became one of the indicators as a tasteful celebrity. This paper tends to look into this cultural phenomenon from the perspectives of music, literature as well as that of philosophy to detect the factors that contributed to this phenomenon and in the mean time, to reveal the deep social significance behind it
