Abstract

In this article, the author defines the methodological approaches to the study of democracy based in Ukraine, analyzes the main stages of the democratization of Ukrainian society, and particularly characterized by modern Ukrainian democracy. Focusing on the realization of the essence of democracy as the diversity of people’s will make every effort to promote democratic foundations of the real social life, it should be noted that democracy – is not just a form of organization of the political power of the people, it is – a certain state of evolutionary balance of society and government, human traditions and innovations freedom and social obligations. Political evolution is the meaning of expression of democracy, whereby the stability generated by stability, innovation based on tradition, freedom is measured responsibility. Evolutionary progression towards the formation of the democratic foundations of society being a guarantee of sound policies, eliminates the possibility of the use of violent methods in the struggle for power. It is sad, but Ukraine is demonstrating the world numerous examples of irrational policies that lead to an imbalance in society and state. Today, the political situation in Ukraine, strongly suggests that Ukrainian society is still prevalent understanding of the revolutionary democracy as freedomdestroying. However, in assessing the possible existence of democracy in modern conditions of development of Ukraine, among other principles, it is necessary to consider that in any case it should seek fundamental values and ideals not overseas for the dales, and the private Ukrainian political history and culture.
