Abstract

Hunger is a social problem that affects people all over the world. This complex social phenomenon is a biological expression of sociological evils, i.e., of social vulnerability. To understand hunger requires inquiring into the meaning of hunger in the Anthropocene and the challenges that are present in fighting hunger. This leads to looking into the right to food, the violation of human rights, and the right to food security. New forms of human responsibility and new practices for global transformation are required, involving environment, technology and education. Developing education to ensure security of future food systems is the challenge to be met in order to end hunger.
