On the Meanings of the Numbers in the Form and Arrangement of The Historical Records

Abstract

The existence of human history, so people understand the world any, should be subject to its "pre-understanding" of the constraints. Sima Qian live in an age, is a cosmology in its heyday. This era where the little achievements of thinkers, both of people living in this world there is a metaphysical idea, which the world's metaphysical ideas, but mostly based on the "day" , "person" together one, and united in the "number" of the universe on the basis of the conceptual framework. General knowledge by the social and ideological constraints of the world, Sima Qian's "study the occasion of Heaven," Inevitably there are also popular at the time of the mysterious figure of graceful figure, in which a specific performance, is the "Historical Records" style number of ministries . In Heidegger's words, everyone is confined to "fore-understanding" when he tries to understand the world. In Sima Qian's period with the theories of the cosmos flourishing, most of these theories are based on the theoretical structure of the universe that Tian and Ren are united on the base of the world view of Shu . That Sima Qian advocated his purpose of "Exploring the relationship between the Universe and Human-being" is unavoidably influenced by the popular thought of mystical numbers at that time, one of which typical representation is the numbers in the form and arrangement of "The Historical Records"
