Abstract

The introductory chapter engages with the ways in which Buddhism and Linguistics are scientifically compatible and offers a rationale for the collection’s endeavour to examine a hitherto uncharted terrain. The essay offers an insight into the compatibility between Buddhism and Linguistics by examining some areas which lie at the interface of the two disciplines and concludes by offering a brief summary of each of the essays in the volume.
