Abstract

The present article proposes the existential elucidation of death and suicide, essentially along with the analysis that Jaspers carries out in the part II of Philosophy. Hence, it is stated that the I schemes, that constitute its objectivization, do not allow a complete understanding of the "I myself". Which allows for the distinction between an "improper" and "proper" death, which is boldly faced. Finally, suicide remains as a radically incomprehensible act; its authenticity lies, though, in as much as does not involve a mere escape
