In 2018 Dr. He Jiankui announced the successful performance of gene editing on human embryos. This paper examines Dr He’s claim beginning with its scientific foundations, and advancing through a series of ethical considerations to a larger perspective, examining Jiankui He’s acts into the frame of contemporary society.My notes
