Problems and prospects of sustainable development in Ukraine : political aspect

Abstract

The features of Ukraine’s transition to sustainable development. Outlined a legislative regulatory framework in Ukraine this matter, namely: Local - industry solutions that put local goals and objectives on the scale of one or more joint areas in the context of sustainable development of Ukraine ; - Infrastructure - level solutions that create the necessary conditions for balanced and opportunities for achieving the goals and objectives of sustainable development and system solutions for targeted programs that determine the direction of achieving the goals and objectives of sustainable development at the global or regional level. Emphasized the special importance in the context of Ukraine’s transition to a sustainable development course on decentralization of public administration and local authorities to provide more rights and powers given responsibility for their implementation. It was determined that in modern Ukraine local government at the regional level as an institution of public power is very tied to local administrations, and its activity is largely confined to the approval of the draft decisions prepared by pre- administration. Indicated that before the modern system of governance of regional development for its effective functioning and conflict resolution at the «center» - «region» is a series of tasks related to the implementation of the comprehensive reform. Analyzed bottlenecks functioning of local government and local government and the ways to overcome these contradictions.
