You see, choose and become with no interruption. The constant change inspires me. This is a text circulating around an artistic practice, it´s an illustration of a why how what. Or, maybe more an attempt to put words onto a wish to see for tracing, where an aim is being become became. Be.

A self portrait. With an auto ethnographic study method and my own craft; glass making I examine tacit knowledge. A portrait not only of me, but also the human in need of control. An invite to look at our society and see how the measurable is in charge and positivistic science have the leading position in knowledge production. Love Song is an essay about romance, passion, obsession, attraction, Eros, intoxication, infatuation, to fall in love and love. Love songs, as artworks, are almost always directed towards a nameless “you” and this essay wants to talk to you. The text might be seen as a way to create and rewrite something, a performance to understand other performances, a dwelling on past relationships, a love letter, or just a text for me to vent you with others that have been thinking (...) about you. I would love to hear Elsa von Freytag-Loringhoven, Chris Kraus, Beyoncé, Bell Hooks, Anaïs Nin and Taylor Swift talk to each other about art and romances, but because that is an impossible dream I try to connect them and many other thinkers, artists and singers through language. One of them, Roland Barthes once wrote: "Language is a skin: I rub my language against the other. It is as if I had worlds instead of fingers, or fingers at the tip of my worlds."[1] Love Song is, more than anything else an attempted to touch you, a strategy to better understand the way you made and make me feel. : In our designed culture, every environment, object and picture is analyzed from the viewpoint of colour and light. Colour and light play an important role in social life and culture. This paper springs from an epistemological project about concept formation in the field of colour and light. Based on own observations and scientific and scholarly references it presents a graphic model describing possible constituent relations between colour and light experiences. Design is the art of using knowledge – implicit or (...) explicit – about how humans perceive, experience, and relate to the world around. In design all senses are involved, but when dealing with colour and light we can confine ourselves to vision; designers must understand the conditions of visual perception. Human experience of colour and light has many sources; the given cultural context, the direct experience of the world around and the basic perceptual functions. There is need for distinct concepts and concise approaches to understand coherence of aesthetic and functional expressions. Design education calls for coherent and well defined structures that can be used to describe connections and distinctions between experiences of different kinds. (shrink)

The curiosity of different beliefs to “tragedy” between the two worlds, Eastern where tragedy is unpleasant and Western where tragedy is praised as high art form since Ancient Greek. The reason that they are very different as two ends from one point and how to present them directly to understandable stage in art forms itself are questioned. This essay is a research into philosophical living and belief relates to tragedy in Eastern and Western views toward tragedy in art forms. The (...) way tragedy has been put differently and the way people treat this feeling. There is a border which is deep-seated into each cultures. The relation of time is used to explain tragedy in Ancient Greek. Western tragedy is big enough to play a main role while Eastern tragedy play a part of the whole in one legend or story. The study of Andy Warhol’s method “Traumatic Realism” which is relevant to starting question explains the direction of using repetition as presentation in order to bring viewers get into trauma at its surface. Picasso’s painting “Tragedy”, Edward Gorey’s storytelling illustration “The Hapless Child”, and Marina Abramovic’s performance “Balkan Baroque”, are used to discuss their techniques and statements based on tragedy from different forms. There is a touching point from Warhol’s and Abramovic’s works. Conclusion talks about the method to present tragedy right there in the work. Selections of pictures are used to tell direction of tragedy in the work. Hierarchy of perception and changing of time in works are explained by Ancient Greek tragedy philosophy and Warhol’s repetition. Feeling is gradually changed. Traces can be found.
