Abstract

Strategies of Ethics is a rigorous text in normative ethical theory. It makes few compromises with current marketing procedure in normative ethics texts. In discussing the basic theories, Rosen carefully delineates the various versions of each theory and presents careful detailed criticism of each. The book contains no material on contemporary moral problems. Indeed even the concept of justice is relegated to an appendix.
