Abstract

This paper’s aim is to dilucidate someo f t h e a n t h r o p o l o g i c a l - p e da g o g i c a limplications of the pact that institutesthe civil State, which is a concept thatcharacterizes Thomas Hobbes’ politicaltheory. Such implications deal with, on theone hand, the educational sense of the lawand its enforcement, and on the other, withthe type of liberty that the citizens of theaforementioned State have. To achieve this, the following issues shall be discussed: thepact as a means for instituting the civilState, the educational sense of the State, the concept of civil liberty, and, finally, the ethics of the sovereign and the limitsof the State
