Abstract

The teaching method of a discipline is dictated by its specific character. This is also the case with ethics. The article is an attempt to derive from the specific character of ethics the moral guidelines that should be followed in teaching it. The article considers three issues. The first is an initial distinction between morality and ethics, the latter being the philosophical interpretation of the former. Next, there follows a presentation of the specifics of teaching ethics which result generally from the peculiar tension that exists between its theoretical character and its practical nature. The last part of the article formulates the guidelines which should be followed in teaching ethics.
