Abstract

This chapter traces Max Charlesworth’s trajectory of seven decades of the enlivening bond between philosophy and world. It highlights his special contributions and legacy to philosophy in general, contemporary European philosophy, religious studies, bioethics, the role of church and state in a liberal democratic society. This is done through exploring his works, as well as unpublished materials and interviews.
