Abstract

The division of intimate place and person is the violence of urban densification. The body reaches to the land through the senses. Sonic experience reveals an invisible political reality to architectural development. In the specific geopolitical context of unceded and contested Algonquin territory of the Ottawa-Gatineau region, The Falls from Herebrings attention to the silencing of a river and the inaccessibility of land.
