Financial resources of regional authorities in the European Union

Abstract

This article researches trends in the European Union, and describes two opposite processes: on the one hand, the growth of centralization of the EU, which is manifested in the growth of power and importance of the central authorities. On the other hand, increased attention to regional development. In fact, the requirement of human growth and regionalization of regional authorities have become one of the main criteria for membership in the European Union.
