Abstract

Talk about values is incessant in the globalized world of this new millennium, but what does this concept mean? Does it have the same meaning across cultures and epochs? And what is, or may be, the future of values? In this volume, these issues are addressed by philosophers from Germany, Greece, India, Russia, Turkey, the United Kingdom, and the United States, writing under the auspices of the International Federation of Philosophy Societies. Prepared on the occasion of the Twenty-first World Congress of Philosophy, it constitutes a resumption of the FISP series “Ideas Underlying Global Problems”
