In reading two recent issues of Ultimate Reality and Meaning (the Papago and Navajo articles-2, pp. 4-15 and 84-108), and earlier ones on Hindu religion, and indeed a number of other essays on religions outside the range of the Semitic religions, I am struck by the ethnocentrism that is implicit in them-sometimes [Book Review]
