Abstract

Las importantes transformaciones producidas en las últimas décadas en el ámbito de la Filosofía de la Ciencia se reflejan en la incorporación de nuevas temáticas y perspectivas así como en la ampliación de contextos para el abordaje de su problemática. Desde este marco, el presente trabajo atiende al análisis de las implicaciones epistemológicas de la instancia del “testeo empírico” incorporando a la misma los criterios expresados por investigadores con respecto a: la aceptación de resultados desde la evidencia empírica, alcance localista-holista del testeo empírico y conceptualización que el científico asume respecto a las estructuras racionales contenidas en hipótesis y teorías involucrando su relación con el mundo. El análisis se orienta hacia la identificación de coincidencias y/o disidencias entre las convicciones de los científicos y tesis epistemológicas surgiendo interrogantes sobre la posibilidad de establecer patrones rígidos desde una simplificación de la práctica científica con el consiguiente descuido de las particularidades emergentes según las áreas, especialidad o formación del investigador. Interesa además detectar la coherencia entre los conceptos expresados y los criterios aplicados en decisiones que la práctica científica requiere.The important transformations produced in the last years in the field of Philosophy of Science are reflected in the incorporation of new subjects and perspectives together with the enlargement of contexts to approach the problems. From this frame, the present work attends to the analysis of epistemological aspects involving the “empirical testing” of hypothesis and theories. We attach to this issues the researchers opinions about: the acceptance of results from the empirical evidence, the extent of empirical testing and the assumed conception about rational structures involving the relations with the world.The analysis addresses to the identification of the coincidences and disagreements between the researcher convictions and the epistemological theses. Questions arise about the possibilities to state rigid patterns that simplify the scientific practice with the consequent neglect of particular features like the area, specialty and formation of the investigator. Also, the coherence between the expressed concepts and the criteria applied in the decisions that the scientific practice required is considered.
