Abstract

Zubiri’s philosophy of religion of Zubiri has a phenomenological origin, viz. religation. Butto determine religious attitudes towards the agnostic and atheistic views, he recurs to ahermeneutic criterion: the theistic orientation of the power of reality. This brings him to theconclusion that religions are interpretations of the very religation affecting every humanbeing, at the same time allowing him to add that such interpretations have their basis in afact that is neither intentional nor linguistic—religation—which is therefore antecedent tothem.La filosofía de la religión de Zubiri tiene un comienzo fenomenológico, que es la religación.Pero luego, para la determinación de las actitudes religiosas frente a las actitudes agnósticas y ateas, recurre a un criterio hermenéutico: la orientación teísta del poder de la realidad. Esto le lleva a admitir que las religiones son interpretaciones de la religación que afecta a todo ser humano, aunque a la vez le permite añadir que tales interpretaciones tienensu principio en un hecho no intencional ni lingüístico, justamente la religación, que es porende anterior a ellas mismas
