Abstract

Provides detailed close readings of Sylvia Plath, Adrienne Rich, H.D. and Audre Lourde in the light of the theories of Irigaray, Cixous and Kristeva. Yorke's analysis highlights the voices of women poets within poetic and cultural structures which have excluded female subjectivity.
