Abstract

Continuation of the twentieth century, environmental issues into the twenty-first century, the situation has not improved a lot. Two thousand and five of the two articles and Make us think the environmental movement is What will be declared dead. Two articles都pointed out that the solution of environmental problems still require further technological development, but the authors都pointed out that this is not the only solution, the people involved is important. Although the technology or science is not the environment the only culprit, but only consider technological development is not the only solution, apart from policy or participate in sports people to further effort, the environmental education-reflection should also be another effort to target . To rethink the origins of environmental problems, to explore the relationship between humans and nature, and human attitudes toward nature and behavior, these need to start from the philosophical reflection. One of the philosophical basis in pragmatism, John Dewey and other philosophers of the analytical relationship between man and nature, his emphasis on science and technology, human nature or value of the free care, but also the environmental problems and expand one of the main produce. This article about the death from the environmental movement, the current view of the philosophy of technology and science and technology, as well as popular American philosophy seriously Dewey philosophy of man and nature in his metaphysical theory, how to emphasize the importance of science and education activities in science and technology education is an important point of view, highlights Dewey's philosophy is not but impact on American education, and also affects the environment, education, and concluded that environmental education can not only consider the scientific or technological theory for the direction, but more to the ecological and cultural and humanities as a starting point to think the future technological applications, so, sustainable future is possible. Two articles about the death of environmentalism which appeared in 2005 caused much discussion. Authors indicated that the solutions for environmental crises we face today could not depend on technology and modernistic thoughts only. The third wave of environmentalism will be to stress the need for greater public -private investment which started from people. Other thought will be to create a culture of learning. I will argue from philosophical thought on which the trust of technology in solving environmental problems is based. My argument is that from philosophy and environmental education, American always believes philosophy of pragmatism and philosophy of John Dewey. In terms of environmental education, we cannot ground our theory only on sciences and technology; ecological cultural studies should be part of consideration
