Rhetorical Turn, Pragmatic Turn And Overpassing Of The Metaphysics

Abstract

It is widely known the contemporary expression rhetorical turn from Richard Rorty. Such turn could not be thought without the pragmatic turn that precedes it. In the same way that we also could not think the valorization of ordinary language and effectively used without the first linguistic turn. The ultimately outcome of such approaches should give priority, as Carrilho argued, to the elocution rather than proposition. The proposal is follow these reflections and how they help some contemporaneous thinkers in the effort of overcome the ‘metaphysics.
