Abstract

Pour mettre en regard les domaines à la fois proches et différents de la poésie et de la philosophie, on conjugue démarches diachronique et synchronique. Après avoir exploré les sources grecques et patristiques, on s'appuie sur des auteurs comme Pascal, Péguy, Tagor, pour montrer comment la philosophie s'approfondit à la rencontre de la poésie, comment la poésie s'élève à la rencontre de la pensée. Dans l'accueil du mystère peut advenir une poésie philosophique, une philosophie poétique. Le poètepenseur et le penseur-poète témoignent du souffle du mystère. En regardant l'existence dans la mémoire de la mort, la parole poétique et philosophique garde vivante la vérité du mystère. La proximité entre poésie et philosophie se fonde sur le mystère. An attempt is made here to confront the two fields, at once near and far, of poetry and philosophy, by combining diachronic and synchronie approaches. After having explored Greek and Patristic sources, the analysis attempts to show via authors such as Pascal, Péguy, Tagore, how philosophy acquires greater depth through contact with poetry, and how poetry in turn reaches greater heights thanks to its contact with philosophical thought. By embracing mystery, a philosophical poetry and a poetical philosophy can arise. Poet-thinker and thinker-poet both bear witness to the quiet whisper of mystery. Looking upon existence through the memory of death, the poetic and philosophic word keeps alive the truth of mystery. The proximity between poetry and philosophy is grounded on mystery
