Science and his Habilitation in History and Philosophy of Science. He is the author of numerous articles and a book, Newton's Manuskript 'De graviatione'(Stuttgart 1991), on Newton's mechanical and optical con-cepts. In more recent work, including his forthcoming book Explorative Experimente: Ampère, Faraday und die Urpünge der Elektrodynamik (Stuttgart) [Book Review]
